Elder Miyaki is one of the Zone Leaders who
conducted the morning session of the Conference.
President Rasmussen and I did some training on Adjusting to Missionary Life.
During lunch, we enjoyed a gift exchange that was lots of fun.
This year the rules were to spend less than 200 yen ($2.00)
and the gift had to be GREEN.
Gary had a fun time handing out the packages with his "Santa helpers",
Everyone got their gift and on the count of 3, they tore them open.
Sister Robertson got an army truck!
Sisters Iwasa, Alcazar and George
Elder Kimura loved the gift exchange.
Sister Carlson's happy face!
Elder Sorenson
Elder Simonson
Elder Low
(How did someone make a green robe Christ?)
Elder Inamori
(Is that Wasabe?)
Elder Kobayashi got this "lovely" green sweater
that was a few sizes too small!
Sister Morita standing on her grass!
Sister Alcazar and Pres. Rasmussen showing their new gifts.
Elder Palmer, Zone Leader who conducted
the afternoon session of conference.
One of the gifts we gave the missionaries was a book full of conversion stories of members all over our mission. It was a BIG project. We had some YA in Sendai enter the stories into the computer in Japanese all the handwritten stories we received. Then, we asked Norie Palmer, who is a dear friend we met at the MTC when she was our Japanese teacher, to solicit RMs and others to translate the stories into English. The book we gave all the missionaries were the stories written in Japanese and English so everyone could enjoy them. The above picture is the missionaries looking at their book.
Special musical number with Elder Boden on the guitar.
