Randy Checketts and the Missionaries prepared a hamburger dinner for the investigators on Saturday night. A hamburger is not a common food in Japan-except at McDonalds. (I have only seen hamburger buns in the store one time in 2+ years) It was a real treat to have a homemade hamburger and everyone loved it. I made a big pot of curry rice and the Elders made cookies to round out the meal.
Pres. Rasmussen spoke to them for a few minutes after dinner.
This investigator came just to play Ping Pong with Pres. Rasmussen who he had heard was pretty good at the game. They had a great time together.
Saturday morning, Randy Checketts and Gary rode their bikes in the outskirts of town that was beautiful country. Randy and Gary were missionaries together 40 years ago in Tokyo. Randy and his Japanese wife live in Akita and are very good to the missionaries who serve there.
President Rasmussen works hard to do a mogi (practice) lesson with as many companionships as he can when we travel to an area. These pictures were taken after their lesson with him.
