President Rasmussen did the Aomori interviews while we were in the Misawa area. Aomori is on the ocean front. Gary is standing with the ocean behind him.
It is approaching sakura season and the pyramid in Amori had a
beautifully lit display of the sakura on the trees.
Aomori is famous for their apples. They are very expensive, however. Each apple is $2.
Iwatesan--the highest mountain in Iwate. It is rare to see the top of the
mountain because it is covered in snow and fog.
Gary has the goal to climb to the top of Iwatesan this summer with some of the Elders in the Morioka area. He is reading all about the mountain and the hiking trails.
