Preparing the House for Christmas & FHE

Elder Merkley on top of the Mission Home and Office stringing our outside Christmas lights.
Elder Taylor has a broken foot so he was in charge of the lights from the ground.
Final display of lights--our gift to the neighborhood. I think they loved it. It was lovely.
The mission has this large lighted nativity that we place in front. We parked our cars across the street every evening so the nativity could be seen clearly by passers-by.
Elder Merkley and Taylor were proud of their efforts.
The tree in our living room.
The Mission Home had this Paper Mache nativity that a member made many years ago. It is quite fragile but it looked nice on top of the piano.
My international nativities displayed.
Before FHE, Gary and Elder Taylor enjoying a moment.
One of our new nativities. These are Kokeshi dolls. Japanese nativities are almost impossible to find. I love this one. Kokeshi dolls are made in our Tohoku area of Japan.
The other new Nativity that we purchased in Korea. It is hand carved of wood with lots of detail. I love it!!
More Nativities on display
Elder and Sister Thomas at FHE.

Missionaries and investigators at FHE. The Missionaries must bring an investigator to attend FHE.
Elders Oikawa, Merkley, Taylor, and Sister Yoshida.
Elder and Sister Jahana, an office couple.
Special Christmas musical number by Elder Oikawa, Merkley, Sisters Mukitani and Asato.

President Sugawara, Sendai Stake President. He and his cute wife never miss FHE. He is a great supporter of Missionary work. We surely appreciate him.
Gathering in the kitchen after FHE.
