Elder and Sister Noonchester finally arrived on Jan 12th.
The Jahanas and the Thomas joined us to welcome them to Sendai.

The Noonchesters come to us from Las Cruses, New Mexico.

We enjoyed the Testimony Meeting with Elder and Sister Thomas and Elder and Sister Jahana before the Sukiyaki Dinner that we all enjoyed together.
Elders Jahana and Thomas are great friends!

The Thomas' will return to Tifton, GA.

The Jahanas will move to Yokohama, Japan the last day of their mission in February.

2 More Missionaries Return Home For Medical Reasons

This month has been difficult because we have sent home two missionaries for medical reasons.  We are sad to see them go and wish them well.

Sister Watanabe will return home to Yamaguchi, Japan.

3 Great Missionaries Go Home in January

Every transfer I get sad because I feel like we are loosing our very best missionaries.  I guess that is exactly as it should be since they have been here the very longest of all of the missionaries in the mission.  These three Elders are last of the young missionaries who experienced the big earthquake and devistatioin caused by the tsunami almost 2 years ago.  They had been in Japan only a week or so when it happened.  They were sent to Sapporo to serve for two transfers before returning to Sendai.  It is sad to think none of our missionaries now have a good understanding of the miraculous events that took place in the Sendai mission.

We just had our Testimony Meeting together and are hungry for the final Sukiyaki Dinner.
(Back row )  Elder Takei, Taylor, Robbins, Sis & Pres Rasmussen.
(Front Row)  Elder Everett & Shin'no

Elder Robbins will return to SLC to go to BYU.

Elder Taylor is our claim to fame because he is from Show Low,Arizona.

Elder Takei will always be special because he was a wonderful AP that we loved and counted on for so many things.  He is a valient missionary.

Sukiyaki Dinner
President showing pictures from his mission 40 years ago to Elder Shin'no and Takei.
Elder Robbins received the Alma O Taylor pin for reading the Book of Mormon in Japanese.

Pres. is a "ham" poking him with the pin.

Elder Takei about to finish the Book of Mormon in English.

The next morning at the Airport where Elders Robbins and Taylor will fly out.
Never a waste minute to talk to an Assistant.

We will miss these Elders.

Elder Takei finished reading the Book of Mormon and recieived his Alma O Taylor pin at the Airport before he left the mission.  A huge accomplishment!!
