Our first visit to a "sushi by the plate" restaurant. Plates go by on a conveyor belt and you pick out what you want. When you are finished, you pay by the plate.
After church in Sanjo. Sanjo is a Branch Gary served in 40 years ago. It is still a small struggling branch but the people are nice.
Not too many posts back on this blog, I showed pictures of the snow covered mountains and valley. Just when we thought the snow would never melt and the trees looked dead from the cold and snow, things began to change. The trees have bloomed and the color green has come in many shades. Our beautiful island is coming back to life!!
The water is soaking the rice fields getting ready for planting.
Cherry blossoms!!
A typical farm house belonging to a rice farmer. This is the scene all over our mission which is more rural than the other missions in Japan. This picture was taken from the freeway as we drove by.
